New Jersey Natural Gas
New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) is wholly owned by New Jersey Resources, which provides energy services to customers ranging from the Gulf Coast to Canada. New Jersey Natural Gas serves 486,000 customers in the counties of Burlington, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris and Ocean. The company's focus is on providing reliable, affordable energy services in an environmentally friendly way.
After the 1999 energy deregulation in New Jersey, New Jersey Natural Gas customers were given the option to lower their NJ natural gas rates by seeking out alternative NJ gas suppliers. This program allows New Jersey Natural Gas to deliver the energy while partnering with other energy companies who generate (supply) the energy.
Currently there are about 40 different NJ gas suppliers serving the same service area as New Jersey Natural Gas, which means that NJNG customers can now compare rates among these NJ gas suppliers in order to lower their monthly bills. Here are the benefits of switching:
